Amazon is expanding its footprint in India with another fulfilment centre announcement at Rajpura, Punjab, scheduled to go live on July 1, 2025. The update was shared on Seller Central, where the company highlighted the new LDX1 facility’s role in boosting Fulfilment by Amazon capacity and reducing delivery times for customers in the region. Sellers using FBA will need to take action to ensure seamless integration with this new site.

Location and Capacity Benefits
The new centre is situated at Glorious Spaces, Vill. – Gandian, Ambala-Rajpura Road, Rajpura, Punjab – 140401. By adding LDX1 to its network, Amazon India will be able to process a larger volume of seller inventory. This expansion is part of Amazon’s broader strategy to meet rising e-commerce demand across northern India. With modern storage systems and automation in place, the Rajpura facility will help reduce order processing times and ease seasonal volume pressures.

GST Registration Update
In the Seller Central announcement, Amazon India reminded sellers that they must update their GST registration certificates to include LDX1 as an additional place of business. Without this update, inventory transfers to the new centre cannot proceed. The process for updating the certificate is straightforward: sellers should log in to their FBA dashboard, navigate to the GST settings section, and add the address of the new fulfilment centre.

Steps for Sellers
Sellers planning to leverage LDX1 are advised to take the following steps before July 1, 2025:
1. Review existing GST registration details in Seller Central.
2. Add Glorious Spaces, Vill. – Gandian, Ambala-Rajpura Road, Rajpura, Punjab – 140401 as an additional place of business.
3. Save and submit the updated certificate through the FBA dashboard.
4. Await confirmation of GST update before scheduling inventory shipments to LDX1.

If there are any questions or issues, sellers can contact their Amazon account manager or email [fba-fc-communications@amazon.in](mailto:fba-fc-communications@amazon.in).

Impact on Delivery and Customer Experience
Once operational, LDX1 is expected to shorten last-mile delivery times for customers in the surrounding region. Sellers may see faster order fulfillment and higher customer satisfaction ratings. For those offering Prime or expedited shipping options, the new centre could translate into more consistent delivery promises and fewer delays during peak sales periods such as festivals or shopping events.

Broader Network Growth
This launch follows Amazon India’s trend of expanding its fulfillment footprint across key logistics hubs. In recent years, the company has invested in technologies like robotics and machine learning at its centres to streamline sorting and packing. LDX1 will join several other FBA facilities in northern India, reinforcing Amazon’s commitment to bringing sellers closer to customers and reducing transit distances.

In addition to the upcoming Rajpura centre and the recently opened IDX2 facility in Madhya Pradesh on May 4, 2025, Amazon India also inaugurated a new fulfilment centre in West Bengal, with operations commencing on March 31, 2025, at the CCX1 site in Panchla, Howrah district

The addition of the LDX1 centre in Rajpura marks another milestone in Amazon India’s effort to strengthen its fulfilment network. By updating their GST registrations on Seller Central and preparing shipments accordingly, sellers can take full advantage of increased capacity and faster delivery speeds starting July 1, 2025. This timely expansion promises to support both sellers and customers as e-commerce continues to grow across India.
