Amazon launches AbilityOne Storefront
Amazon has partnered with the National Industries for the Blind (NIB) to launch the AbilityOne Storefront on its Amazon Business platform. The AbilityOne Program is a federal programme that provides employment opportunities for people who are blind or have other significant disabilities.
The AbilityOne Storefront will enable customers to purchase products and services from the AbilityOne Program and other AbilityOne contractors from one central location on Amazon Business. All products available on the storefront will bear the AbilityOne logo, and purchases made through it will support career opportunities for people with disabilities.

In a press release, Amazon expressed pride in supporting programmes like AbilityOne that harness the purchasing power of the federal government to empower small or underrepresented groups, such as people who are blind or have significant disabilities. The launch of the AbilityOne Storefront represents a significant step in improving access to products and services offered by people with disabilities in the United States.
NIB President and CEO Kevin Lynch welcomed the collaboration, stating that the AbilityOne Storefront on Amazon Business would make it easier for government customers to purchase Skillcraft and AbilityOne products. He expressed hope for a productive partnership with Amazon that would meet the evolving needs of government and support the employment of Americans who are blind or have significant disabilities.
