Amazon UK Cuts Voucher Fees Ahead of Festive Season
New fee cap and lower variable rate from November 5 aim to make promotions more predictable and affordable for sellers
Amazon UK has announced a major fee reduction for its voucher program, effective from November 5, 2025. The update, published on the Seller Central platform, is designed to make festive-season promotions more cost-effective and transparent for sellers preparing for the busy Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales period.

In a move welcomed by UK-based Amazon sellers, the e-commerce giant has introduced new pricing for its voucher program. Starting November 5, the variable voucher fee will be capped at £200 per voucher, and the variable rate will be cut from 1.5 percent to 0.75 percent. The £2 upfront fee per voucher remains unchanged. Amazon says the change aims to help sellers manage their promotional costs more efficiently during the peak holiday shopping season.

New fee structure explained
The capped voucher fee is part of Amazon’s broader effort to make its promotion tools more predictable and easier to plan. Under the new structure, sellers can offer vouchers without worrying about unexpected spikes in variable fees. This will particularly benefit sellers running high-value or large-volume voucher campaigns during events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The update follows seller feedback
Amazon stated on Seller Central that the decision was based on feedback received after it introduced new promotion structures in March 2025. Many sellers had expressed concerns that the variable voucher fees made it difficult to forecast marketing costs. The new cap directly addresses those concerns, offering more clarity and control over advertising budgets.
Action required for existing vouchers
Vouchers created before November 5, 2025, will not qualify for the new capped fee. Amazon recommends deactivating older vouchers and creating new ones on or after the effective date to benefit from the revised rates. Sellers can find step-by-step guidance under the “Create a voucher” section in Seller Central.
Lower fees mean sellers can now allocate more budget to marketing and customer engagement activities without compromising profitability. As competition intensifies during the holiday period, cost-effective promotions such as vouchers and coupons can significantly boost product visibility and conversion rates.
The latest update from Amazon UK reflects the company’s ongoing effort to enhance seller experience and promote transparency in its promotional tools. By reducing voucher fees ahead of the holiday shopping rush, Amazon is giving sellers a timely advantage to attract more customers while maintaining better control over their spending. Sellers are encouraged to review their active campaigns and prepare new vouchers after November 5 to make the most of the reduced fees.
