Dawn Block Assumes eBay U.S. GM Role, Commits to Building Trust and Boosting Seller Success

eBay U.S. has announced a change in leadership, with Dawn Block taking over as the new General Manager for the U.S. market. Block, who joined eBay in 2021, has been responsible for driving exceptional shopping and selling experiences across Fashion, Collectibles and Home and Garden in the U.S., U.K. and Germany.
In a post on the eBay Community, Block introduced herself to the sellers and expressed her gratitude to her predecessor, Adam Ireland, for his skilled and thoughtful leadership. She also shared some of the initiatives she has been involved in, such as the Vault and the Authenticity Guarantee program, which are built around trust for the buyer and seller.
Block said that sellers have been and will continue to be near and dear to her heart along this new journey. She praised the sellers for being entrepreneurial, passionate, and inspiring. She said that she hopes to earn their trust as they begin this new journey together.

"Coming into this new role, my number one priority will be to support growth for the eBay community. With vibrant sellers come vibrant buyers and a vibrant community and platform. I look forward to partnering with you and, most importantly, listening to you. I have a great deal to learn from this community. You are the true eBay experts. Your voice matters and your feedback is valued, and it will certainly be used to evolve the eBay platform," she wrote.
She also invited the sellers to join her for the ride ahead. She hinted at her interest in buying and selling on eBay. "Who knows, you may catch me bidding on a pair of your sneakers, and I may catch you buying apparel from me. We are eBay!" she exclaimed.
Block ended her post with a cheerful sign-off: "Happy selling!"
