ShipStation Offers New Insurance Solution for Ecommerce Shipments
ShipStation, a leading cloud-based e-commerce shipping solution, has announced the launch of ParcelGuard, a new insurance service that protects merchants from the costs of lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
According to a press release, ParcelGuard offers several advantages over traditional carrier insurance, such as:
- Coverage for damage to branded packages and theft for unbranded packages
- Coverage for a range of major carriers under a single set of terms
- Quick and easy claims processing through the ShipStation app
- Savings of up to 67% off carrier insurance
The rate for domestic shipping is $1.09 per $100 of coverage for USPS, and is $0.99 per $100 of coverage for non-USPS shipments.
Albert Ko, the Chief Executive Officer of Auctane, the parent company of ShipStation, emphasized the company's commitment to enhancing the shipping processes of its merchants.
