Temu is #1 Shopping App in the US

Temu, the Boston-based online retailer becomes the most downloaded app in the US, surpassing Amazon and Walmart. According to Sensor Tower’s insights, in Q4 of 2022, US app installations for Temu exceeded even those for Amazon and Walmart.

Launched in the US in September 2022, Temu (pronounced as Tee-Moo) is a sister company of leading Chinese social commerce giant Pinduoduo. PDD Holdings is the US-listed parent company of Temu which was formerly known as Pinduoduo.

Since its launch in the US, the company has been offering surprisingly low prices and an extensive catalog of items, with the tagline ‘Shop like a billionaire.’ The company aims to make online shopping accessible to all. Affordable, quality products across 29 major categories - from fashion and beauty to sports and health to kitchenware and office supplies are available on Temu's marketplace.

Temu has become a buzzword in the US e-commerce space. It has made a strong impression on US consumers by offering affordable products, responsive customer service and dependable fulfillment practices. The exponential growth of Temu in the US e-commerce market portends challenging times ahead for its much vaunted competitors like Amazon, Walmart and eBay.
