Amazon has announced a new fee adjustment process for its Partnered Carrier program, designed to reward accurate shipment measurements and penalize discrepancies. Shared on Seller Central, this update takes effect on June 12, 2025, and applies to both small parcel and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments within the US.

Measurement Notifications and Dashboard Alerts
Sellers will now receive notifications in their Inbound Performance dashboard when carriers record weight, dimension, or freight class measurements that differ from what was entered at shipment creation. These alerts will appear under the “Inaccurate transportation weight/dims” defect group, helping sellers identify and address discrepancies quickly.

How Fee Adjustments Work
Credits for Over-Reported Measurements: If a seller’s provided measurements exceed the carrier’s actual readings, Amazon will issue a credit to the seller’s account.
Charges for Under-Reported Measurements: If the actual measurements are higher than those provided, the seller will incur an additional charge.

Viewing and Resolving Discrepancies
To review measurement details, sellers should:

1. Navigate to the Inbound Performance dashboard in Seller Central.
2. Select “Inaccurate transportation weight/dims” under Defect group.
3. Click “View details” to see the specific weight, dimension, or freight class differences.

Tips for Accurate Measurements
• Use a calibrated scale and tape measure for all shipments.
• Record weight and dimensions at the time of packing.
• Double-check entries before creating your shipment plan.
• Review Amazon’s packaging guidelines to ensure compliance.
