Amazon Introduces New Feedback Manager Insights to Enhance Customer Service

Seller-Fulfilled Performance Metrics Now Available in Seller Central

By Staff Writer

Amazon has recently announced an update to the Feedback Manager, which provides sellers with valuable insights to improve their customer service performance. The new features will help sellers identify areas for improvement in their seller-fulfilled orders, ultimately benefiting both sellers and buyers on the platform.

Three Critical Insights for Seller Success
The updated Feedback Manager now displays three essential performance metrics for seller-fulfilled orders over the prior four-week period on a rolling basis:
1. Preventable contacts
2. Average contact response time
3. Buyer dissatisfaction rate

These insights will help sellers understand their customer service performance and make necessary adjustments to enhance the buyer experience.

In an official update on Seller Central, Amazon emphasized the educational nature of these updates, stating, "These performance insights are intended to be educational only. Your account health won't be affected."

Identifying Opportunities for Improvement
By providing sellers with data on preventable contacts, average response times, and buyer dissatisfaction rates, Amazon aims to help sellers pinpoint areas where they can improve their customer service through Buyer-Seller Messaging. This proactive approach will enable sellers to address potential issues before they escalate, leading to a better overall experience for buyers.

Benefiting Both Sellers and Buyers
The new Feedback Manager insights are a win-win for both sellers and buyers on the Amazon platform. Sellers can now access valuable data to refine their customer service strategies, while buyers can expect improved communication and faster resolution of their concerns. This update demonstrates Amazon's commitment to fostering a positive and efficient marketplace for all users.

Accessing the New Features
To view the new performance insights, sellers can visit the Feedback Manager in Seller Central. The metrics will be displayed in a module at the top of the page, providing an at-a-glance overview of their seller-fulfilled customer service performance.

Seller Reaction
Despite Amazon’s recent updates to the Feedback Manager, some sellers have voiced their concerns and suggestions. One seller expressed confusion, stating, "I see absolutely nothing different on the Feedback Manager page" Another seller highlighted the need for more actionable customer feedback, suggesting, "I wish there was a way to get more detailed/actionable feedback from customers for the purposes of product improvement. One idea is to allow sellers to create a list of a few standard questions for customers to answer at the time of product return. Amazon can maintain control by curating the questions and displaying them as one of the return steps. Return insights which exist today provide no actionable value to us. Neither do 99% of comments left by customers."

In conclusion, the recent update to the Feedback Manager in Amazon's Seller Central is a significant step towards enhancing customer service on the platform. By providing sellers with actionable insights, Amazon empowers them to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve their performance, ultimately creating a better experience for buyers.
