In a move set to reshape the e-commerce landscape in Poland, Amazon has announced a significant reduction in its Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) fees for sellers on its Polish platform. Starting August 12, 2024, the e-commerce giant will cut FBA fulfilment fees by an average of 50%. The recent announcement made on Seller Central marks a substantial shift in its pricing strategy for the Polish market.
Empowering Polish Businesses
Since launching Amazon.pl in March 2021, the company has steadily invested in its Polish operations. Establishing 11 fulfilment centres nationwide has laid a strong foundation for supporting a growing customer base and empowering local businesses.
This latest move is seen as a strategic step to further boost the growth of businesses selling on Amazon.pl. The reduced fees will apply to domestic FBA, Pan-European FBA, and Multi-Channel Fulfilment orders in Poland, excluding European Fulfilment Network orders.

Scope and Implementation of Fee Reduction
Amazon has clarified that this is not a promotional offer but a permanent change in its fee structure. The actual reduction may vary based on factors such as item quantity, dimensions, and weight. Sellers using additional services or selling in other Amazon stores will continue to be subject to standard FBA fees.
The automatic application of these reduced fees is expected to simplify the process for sellers, allowing them to immediately benefit from the cost savings without any additional steps required.
Supporting Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
Amazon's commitment to supporting Polish businesses extends beyond just fee reductions. The company has invested in a range of tools and services to help both large and small businesses succeed on its platform. These include simple listing tools, round-the-clock seller support, and analytics to help businesses make informed decisions.
Moreover, by selling through Amazon's store, Polish small and medium-sized enterprises can reach hundreds of millions of customers worldwide, significantly expanding their potential market.
This strategic move by Amazon is likely to attract more sellers to its Polish platform and potentially increase competition, ultimately benefiting consumers with a wider range of products and lower prices.
As Amazon continues to invest in its Polish operations and support local businesses, it will be interesting to see how this impacts the broader e-commerce landscape in Poland and potentially influences Amazon's strategies in other emerging markets.
