Amazon UK Reduces FBA Parcel Fees for Clothing and Accessories
Lower Fees and Simplified Size Tiers Coming May 15, 2025

Amazon UK announced this beneficial change through its Seller Central platform, aiming to simplify the fee structure and reduce sellers' operational costs.
Simplified Fee Structure
From May 15, 2025, Amazon UK will calculate FBA fulfilment fees for clothing, accessories, backpacks, and handbags based only on parcel size tier and unit weight. Previously, Amazon calculated these fees based on either unit weight or dimensional weight, whichever was greater. This change ensures many items will now incur lower fees, significantly benefiting sellers dealing with lightweight products in these categories.
New Parcel Size Tiers Introduced
To facilitate this fee reduction, Amazon is introducing seven new parcel size tiers specifically for the categories of clothing and accessories, as well as backpacks and handbags. These clearly defined size tiers will allow sellers to easily categorize their products, making it simpler to predict fulfilment costs and price their items competitively.
Exemption from Returns Processing Fees
Another beneficial update is the exemption of backpacks and handbags from the returns processing fee typically applied to products with high return rates. This fee had been in effect since February 1, 2025, but Amazon has now decided to waive or reimburse any fees already charged. Sellers in these categories won't need to take any action—Amazon will handle the refunds automatically.

Wide-ranging Applicability
The updated fee structure will cover local and Pan-European FBA, the European Fulfilment Network, Remote Fulfilment between the UK and EU, and the Ships in Product Packaging program. The fee updates will apply across Amazon’s marketplaces in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Importantly, there are no changes to the Low-Price FBA fees or the fees for oversized items, maintaining continuity in these aspects.
