Focus on eBay Live
eBay Live allows sellers to connect with buyers through real-time shopping events. Sellers can demonstrate products, answer questions and engage directly with potential customers during live sessions.

The platform currently supports live selling across categories such as collectibles, sports trading cards, collectible toys, comics, beauty, tools, luxury watches, handbags and jewelry. eBay described Live as one of its fastest-growing formats.

Support Beyond Funding
The 2026 grants are designed not only to provide financial assistance but also to help sellers understand how to build a live commerce strategy. Sellers may use the grant for inventory, equipment, marketing or hiring.

The program is now in its seventh year. Since 2020, eBay has awarded more than $3 million in grants to small businesses.

Why It Matters for Sellers
Live commerce is becoming an important growth channel for online marketplaces. It gives sellers a chance to create trust, explain product value and build a community around their inventory.

For eBay sellers, the new grant program signals the company’s effort to push interactive shopping as a serious business opportunity. It may especially benefit sellers in categories where product knowledge, authenticity and presentation play a major role in purchase decisions.

The 2026 Up & Running Grants program shows eBay’s growing investment in live comerce. By combining funding, equipment and expert support, the company is trying to help sellers turn live interaction into long-term business growth.
