Sales velocity-based repricing is a strategic approach that allows Amazon sellers to adjust the prices of their products based on sales performance within a specified time frame. This dynamic pricing strategy can help you optimize pricing to drive sales, manage inventory more effectively, and maximize profits. This is an ideal strategy for items with no competition or exclusive branding, enabling you to maximize profits. You may read the following to learn more about this strategy.

What is the sales velocity repricing?
Sales Velocity refers to the speed at which products are sold over a given period. High sales velocity indicates a strong demand, while low sales velocity suggests slower-moving inventory. Repricing Strategy is a method of adjusting product prices based on a defined parameter. This involves setting target sales quantities and time intervals and determining price adjustments based on whether the targets are met or not.

Advantages of this strategy
Improved business: By promoting the sale of slow-moving items and optimizing pricing for fast-selling products, this strategy helps improve cash flow, ensuring that capital is not tied up in the unsold inventory.

Customer behavior: Analyzing sales velocity data provides valuable insights into customer preferences and buying behavior. This information can be used to make informed decisions about product offerings, marketing strategies, and inventory management.

Seasonal Sales Optimization: Sales velocity-based repricing is particularly useful during seasonal sales periods. You can adjust prices dynamically to capitalize on peak sales periods and clear out inventory during off-peak times.

Reduced Risk of Stockouts: By optimizing prices based on sales performance, you can better manage inventory levels and reduce the risk of shortfall. This ensures that popular items remain available for customers, leading to higher customer satisfaction and retention.

Automated Pricing: The strategy automates the process of adjusting prices based on sales velocity, reducing the need for manual intervention even when there are no direct competitors on the listings. This saves time and effort for you, allowing you to focus on other aspects of your business.

Scalability Across Multiple Marketplaces: Sales velocity-based repricing can be implemented across multiple marketplaces, providing a consistent pricing strategy for you with a presence on various platforms.

We can achieve all of these advantages by using ChannelMAX's "Sales Velocity" repricing strategy as it enables you to control the prices of your items based on the quantity sold or unsold within a specified period. A) Setting Up Sales Velocity-Based Repricing at the Repricing Model Level
(a) Navigate to the Settings panel by following this path: Settings --> Repricing --> Repricing Model.
(b) Click on the "Sales Velocity" tab to access the settings for this strategy.
(c) Enable the Sales Velocity Repricing rule by setting it to "Yes". This activates the strategy for the selected repricing model.
(d) Define the targeted sales quantity in the 'Sale Needed' column. This value represents the number of units you aim to sell within the specified time interval.
(e) Set the time interval in the 'In Last' column. This value defines the duration within which the sales target should be achieved.
(f) Finally, click on the Save Sales Velocity tab.
Configure the price adjustments based on sales performance:
If the sales target is met: Increase the price by the percentage or amount specified in the "If happens, raised by" field.
If the sales target is not met: Decrease the price by the percentage or amount specified in the "If not happens, lower by" field.

If the "Limit To Listings with NO competition" option is enabled, this strategy will apply only to the SKUs without competitors. This includes private label SKUS and other products with no active competition.

For better clarity on the above setting, here is an example, if the 'In Last' column value is set to 6 and the 'Sale Needed' column value is set to 2, the repricer will review the past 6 hours' sales log to identify whether 2 sales have occurred. If the target is met, the price will increase by 3.5% from the last sale price. If the target is not met, the price will decrease by 0.5% from the current price to encourage sales.

Please ensure that this strategy is configured in a single row at either the repricing model level or SKU level as configuring multiple rows may cause the strategy to malfunction.

(h) Enter the desired percentage or amount for price adjustments in the 'If happens, raised by' and 'If happens, lower by' fields.
