Send inventory early to prepare for festive season peak
Amazon urges sellers to stock up for October, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday
Amazon has issued an advisory on Seller Central asking sellers to send their Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) inventory early to ensure smooth operations during the busy festive season. The company has stressed that shipments should reach its fulfilment centres by the end of October to meet customer demand during upcoming sales events.
Early stocking focus in September and October
According to the announcement, Amazon will concentrate on receiving and positioning sellers’ inventory closer to customers during September and October. This step is aimed at ensuring that products are ready to ship quickly once the shopping rush begins.

Longer processing expected during peak months
In November and December, Amazon will prioritise processing customer orders over receiving new shipments. As a result, sellers may face longer receiving times, especially for palletised shipments, due to heavy traffic across the fulfilment network.

Plan ahead with carriers and tools
Amazon has also advised sellers using non-partnered carriers to update their delivery windows in the Send to Amazon workflow to avoid receiving delays. Sellers are reminded to monitor their monthly capacity limits via the Capacity Monitor and request additional space through the Capacity Manager if needed.
The advisory serves as a timely reminder for sellers to plan their shipments well in advance of the festive season. By meeting the inventory deadlines and leveraging tools like the Capacity Manager, sellers can reduce the risk of delays and ensure their products are available with a Prime badge during the year’s busiest shopping period.
