Walmart to Hold Largest Deals Event Ever in July, Challenging Amazon Prime Day
By Staff Writer
In a move to rival Amazon Prime Day, Walmart has announced its largest savings event ever, "Walmart Deals", which will take place from July 8 to 11. The announcement comes on the heels of its "Walmart Plus Week" sale in June and is open to all Walmart customers, not just members of its Plus membership program.
Last year, Walmart ran its "Walmart Plus Week" sale in July, overlapping Amazon Prime Day. This year, the retailer is shifting its strategy to hold a separate sale in July, a week before Prime Day.
Key Details of "Walmart Deals" Event
Duration and Access:
The event runs from July 8 at 5 p.m. ET through July 11 at 11:59 p.m. ET

Thousands of Deals Across Various Categories
As per the official announcement by Walmart, the "Walmart Deals" event will feature savings on thousands of items across various categories, including back-to-school, tech, toys, outdoor, travel, and more.

Back-to-School Savings
To help parents, teachers, and students prepare for the new school year, Walmart will offer incredible discounts on select back-to-school supplies, fashion, and uniforms. This will enable customers to prep and save on essentials well before the first day of school.
Convenience and Flexibility
Walmart's event will offer customers flexibility and control with its full suite of pickup and delivery options. These include in-store pickup, early morning delivery, late-night express delivery, and next- and two-day shipping. This will ensure that customers can get what they need when they need it.
The e-commerce battlefield is heating up in the US, with TikTok Shop announcing its "Deals For You Days" sales event in the U.S. starting on July 9, while Amazon's annual Prime Day sales will take place on July 16 and 17. Amidst this competitive landscape, Walmart's new event promises to offer significant benefits for both sellers and buyers.
