Amazon sellers targeting companies, institutions and other professional buyers now have a new way to offer discounts specifically to the business-to-business market. Starting August 31, 2026, sellers can create limited-time offers exclusively for business customers through Amazon Business Deals.

The update, shared through Amazon Seller Central, gives sellers greater control over B2B promotions while keeping those offers separate from discounts aimed at regular retail shoppers. Sellers can create deals lasting from one hour to 30 days and choose either a fixed promotional price or a percentage discount.

The feature is available across 10 Amazon marketplaces, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Mexico and Australia. For sellers already using Business Prices, the new option could provide another way to attract commercial buyers, promote selected products and increase visibility during major Amazon shopping events.

What Are Amazon Business Deals?
Amazon Business Deals are limited-time promotions created specifically for Amazon Business customers. Unlike a general consumer promotion, the deal can be targeted at business buyers. This allows sellers to develop a separate promotional strategy for their B2B customers without necessarily offering the same deal to all Amazon shoppers.

Sellers can choose between two promotional formats:
(i) Fixed Price allows the seller to set a specific discounted price for the promotional period.
(ii) Percent Off allows the seller to reduce the price by a selected percentage.

Deals can run for as little as one hour or for as long as 30 days. This flexibility means sellers can use them for short promotional campaigns, inventory initiatives, product launches or longer B2B sales periods.

Minimum Discounts Apply
Products and offers must meet Amazon's eligibility requirements before sellers can create Amazon Business Deals. According to the Seller Central announcement, eligible products must have a customer rating of at least 3.5 stars and must be offered in new condition. Sellers must also satisfy Amazon's applicable pricing and seller performance requirements.

The minimum discount depends on the type of promotion. Regular Amazon Business Deals require a discount of at least 10 percent. High Velocity Event deals require at least 15 percent off. These include promotions associated with major events such as Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Sellers should therefore calculate their margins carefully before participating. A higher sales volume may not necessarily produce higher profits if the discount significantly reduces the contribution margin on each unit.

Potential Extra Visibility During Major Shopping Events
One of the more interesting elements of the new program is additional promotional exposure. During major shopping events such as Prime Big Deal Days and Black Friday, qualifying Amazon Business Deals may receive enhanced visibility through dedicated email and push-notification campaigns.

Amazon says this additional promotional exposure will be available at no additional cost through December 31, 2026. This could make the feature particularly useful for sellers that already experience strong B2B demand or sell products commonly purchased by businesses during major promotional periods.

However, sellers should not assume that creating a deal guarantees placement in an Amazon email or push notification. The Seller Central announcement states that deals may receive enhanced visibility.

Access to More Than 11 Million Business Organizations
Amazon says sellers participating in Business Deals can potentially reach more than 11 million registered business organizations globally. That audience can be important for sellers whose products have both consumer and commercial applications.

Office products, electronics, tools, industrial supplies, cleaning products, hospitality supplies, restaurant equipment, IT accessories and other frequently replenished products are examples of categories where a dedicated B2B promotion may be worth evaluating.

The opportunity can extend beyond simply selling more units during the promotional period. A successful deal can introduce a product to new business customers who may later return for repeat purchases.

Why B2B Deals Require a Different Strategy
Business buyers do not always purchase products for the same reasons as individual consumers. Price matters, but businesses may also consider product availability, quantity requirements, specifications, reliability and the ability to make repeat purchases. This means sellers should avoid treating Amazon Business Deals simply as another consumer discount tool.

A seller could instead identify ASINs with existing business demand, healthy margins and sufficient inventory before creating a deal. Products that businesses reorder regularly may be especially interesting because acquiring a new B2B customer through a promotional offer could potentially lead to future purchases after the deal ends.

Existing Business Prices Are Important
Amazon Business Deals can be found within the Price Discounts tool in Seller Central for products that already have Business Prices. Business Pricing allows sellers to offer prices intended specifically for registered Amazon Business customers. Amazon Business Deals add a limited-time promotional element to that existing B2B pricing strategy.

Sellers that have not yet developed a Business Pricing strategy may therefore want to review which products receive meaningful demand from business buyers before deciding where discounts make sense.

How to Create an Amazon Business Deal
Sellers can access the feature through Seller Central. To begin, go to Promotions and select All Business Customers as the audience. Eligible products with existing Business Prices can also be managed through the Price Discounts tool. Sellers can then configure the promotion based on the available deal options, duration and discount requirements.

Before submitting a promotion, sellers should confirm that the product meets the required rating, condition, pricing and seller performance criteria.

What Sellers Should Check Before Running a Deal
The new feature creates another promotional opportunity, but sellers should evaluate the economics before reducing prices. Start by calculating the expected profit after the promotional discount and all applicable Amazon fees. Sellers should also check available inventory, historical B2B sales, normal Business Price and expected demand during the deal period.

Inventory planning becomes particularly important around major shopping events. Increased exposure can be valuable only when the seller has enough inventory to support additional orders without creating unnecessary stock problems elsewhere.

Sellers should also measure results after each campaign. Comparing B2B unit sales, revenue, margins and repeat purchasing before, during and after a promotion can help determine whether Amazon Business Deals deserve a larger role in the seller's advertising and pricing strategy.

A New Promotional Tool for B2B-Focused Sellers
The introduction of Amazon Business Deals gives sellers a more targeted way to use promotions within Amazon's growing B2B marketplace.

Instead of discounting products for every shopper, eligible sellers can create temporary offers specifically for registered business customers. The ability to choose promotions lasting anywhere from one hour to 30 days also provides flexibility for different sales strategies.

The opportunity could be particularly attractive through the end of 2026, when qualifying deals may gain additional exposure through Amazon's dedicated email and push-notification campaigns during major shopping events at no additional cost.

For sellers, the best approach will be selective rather than simply discounting a large number of products. ASINs with strong business demand, sufficient margins, adequate inventory and repeat-purchase potential are likely to be the most logical candidates.

With Amazon citing a global audience of more than 11 million registered business organizations, sellers that already use Business Prices should review their eligible products in Seller Central and determine whether Amazon Business Deals can become a useful addition to their B2B pricing and promotional strategy.
