Amazon has announced via Seller Central that sellers can begin sending meltable inventory to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) starting September 22, 2025. This marks the end of the seasonal restriction first introduced in March 2025, which temporarily halted inbound shipments of heat-sensitive items.

What Counts as Meltable Inventory
Meltable inventory includes products that can degrade or melt when exposed to temperatures of 155 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. Common examples are chocolate, gummies, jelly-based items, and wax-based products. These items are especially vulnerable during warmer months, which is why Amazon typically enforces a summer shipping blackout.

Key Dates to Remember
September 22, 2025: Sellers may begin shipping meltable inventory to FBA.
October 13, 2025: Amazon will resume customer order fulfillment for meltable products.

This timeline gives sellers a three-week window to restock their FBA inventory before customer orders begin flowing in again.

How to Prepare Your Shipments
To send meltable items, sellers should use the Send to Amazon workflow available in Seller Central. Amazon also provides a downloadable list of meltable ASINs to help sellers identify which products qualify under this category. Proper packaging and labeling remain essential to ensure safe transit and storage.

The reopening of meltable shipments is a valuable opportunity for sellers to capitalize on seasonal demand, especially with the festive season approaching. Products like gourmet chocolates, wax melts, and specialty gummies often see a spike in sales during the last quarter of the year.

Tips for Sellers
- Review Amazon’s meltable inventory policy to ensure compliance.
- Use insulated packaging if necessary to protect items during transit.
- Monitor temperature-sensitive inventory closely to avoid spoilage or returns.
- Plan promotions and advertising campaigns ahead of October 13 to maximize visibility.

With Amazon lifting its meltable inventory restrictions, sellers now have a clear path to restock and prepare for the upcoming sales season. The announcement, made on Seller Central, offers a timely opportunity to reintroduce popular heat-sensitive products to customers. Sellers are encouraged to act quickly, follow packaging guidelines, and leverage this window to boost their Q4 performance.
