Amazon has announced through Seller Central that sellers can now create and submit deals for the upcoming Prime Big Deal Days. The shopping event is expected to drive massive traffic and sales, and sellers are being encouraged to prepare early with discounts and promotions to maximize their visibility and revenue.

Best Deals and Lightning Deals requirements
According to the update, Best Deals and Lightning Deals must be submitted by September 12, 2025. Best Deals require sellers to offer a minimum discount of 15 percent off the ASIN reference price, with a cost of 1,000 dollars per deal. Discounts of 30 percent or more may qualify for additional merchandising support, which can boost product visibility.

Lightning Deals, on the other hand, require at least a 20 percent discount off the ASIN reference price and cost 500 dollars per deal. These limited-time promotions are often highly visible on Amazon during major sales events and are considered effective for driving quick conversions.

Inventory deadlines for FBA sellers
Sellers using Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) must also adhere to strict shipping deadlines to ensure their deals carry the Prime badge during the event. Inventory for minimal shipment splits should reach Amazon’s fulfillment centers by September 10, 2025, while inventory under Amazon-optimized shipment splits must arrive by September 19, 2025. Meeting these deadlines is critical for ensuring fast delivery and customer trust during the peak shopping days.

Additional guidance for holiday preparation
Amazon has also reminded sellers to review the FBA peak season readiness playbook. The playbook includes detailed steps on setting up deals, coupons, and discounts, along with tips for inventory planning and demand forecasting. With competition expected to be high, sellers are advised to prepare early and consider bundling products, optimizing listings, and ensuring sufficient stock levels to avoid missing out on sales.

The message from Amazon is simple and time-bound. Submit your Prime Big Deal Days Best Deals and Lightning Deals by September 12, and make sure FBA inventory reaches the network by the September 10 and September 19 split deadlines. Planning around these dates, fees, and eligibility rules will help your offers surface well and stay Prime-badge eligible through the event. This announcement and timelines were shared on Seller Central, along with the peak season readiness playbook for further guidance

Prime Big Deal Days offers sellers a powerful opportunity to reach millions of shoppers looking for discounts ahead of the holiday season. With clear submission deadlines and discount requirements, sellers who act now stand to benefit the most from Amazon’s promotional push. By preparing deals early, meeting FBA inventory deadlines, and following Amazon’s readiness guidelines, sellers can position themselves strongly for one of the biggest sales events of the year.
