As preparations for the busiest shopping season of the year gather pace, Amazon sellers now have a clearer roadmap to plan inventory, promotions and fulfilment strategies for Q4 2026. A new update published on Seller Central highlights critical deadlines, festive fulfilment fees and promotional opportunities that can directly influence sales performance during Prime Big Deal Days and Black Friday Week.
For sellers, acting early can mean lower promotional costs, improved inventory availability and a better chance of winning the Buy Box during one of the most competitive retail periods of the year.
Prime Big Deal Days and Black Friday schedules confirmed
According to the update on Seller Central, Prime Big Deal Days will once again be held around the same period as last year, serving as the opening event of the festive shopping season before Black Friday Week. Amazon has opened deal submissions for both events.

Important submission deadlines are:
Prime Big Deal Days: September 23, 2026
Black Friday Week: November 18, 2026
Early submissions can reduce promotion costs
Amazon is once again offering an early submission discount for eligible promotions.
Sellers who submit:
Prime Big Deal Days deals by August 5
Black Friday Week deals by September 5
Sellers will receive a 30 percent discount on the upfront promotional fee. Submitting early not only reduces costs but also gives sellers more time to review deals, correct pricing issues and improve campaign planning before the shopping rush begins.
Updated promotion eligibility
Promotion eligibility remains largely unchanged from Prime Day requirements. However, Amazon has introduced one important change.
Prime Exclusive Discounts will now require products to have a minimum customer rating of 3.5 stars.
This makes customer feedback even more important, especially for sellers planning to rely on discounts during the festive season.
Promotion fees remain unchanged
Amazon confirmed that promotion fees will remain the same as those charged during Prime Day.
For the United Kingdom:
Upfront fee: £12 per promotion
Variable fee: 0.75 percent of promotional sales, capped at £600
For Germany:
Upfront fee: €16 per promotion
Variable fee: 0.75 percent of promotional sales, capped at €1,000
For France, Italy and Spain:
Upfront fee: €10 per promotion
Variable fee: 0.5 percent of promotional sales, capped at €300
These charges apply to Best Deals, Lightning Deals and Prime Exclusive Discounts.
Festive peak fulfilment fees return
Amazon will again introduce festive peak fulfilment fees for selected Fulfilment by Amazon orders between October 15, 2026 and January 14, 2027.
United Kingdom
The fee applies to small and standard parcels, along with large and extra-large envelopes fulfilled through local FBA and Remote Fulfilment from the EU to the UK.
Average additional fee:
£0.12 per parcel item
£0.07 per large or extra-large envelope
Germany
The fee applies to small and standard parcels fulfilled through local FBA, Pan-European FBA, the European Fulfilment Network and Remote Fulfilment from the UK to the EU.
Average additional fee:
€0.27 per unit
Amazon clarified that the festive surcharge will not apply to oversized products, low-price FBA items or products delivered to buyers in other European Union countries.
In addition, the existing 1.5 percent fuel and logistics surcharge will continue to apply alongside the festive peak fee.
Inventory arrival deadlines
Sellers using Fulfilment by Amazon should ensure inventory reaches Amazon fulfilment centres well before the major sales events.
Prime Big Deal Days
Europe: September 9, 2026
United Kingdom: September 16, 2026
Black Friday Week
Europe: October 21, 2026
United Kingdom: October 28, 2026
Meeting these deadlines helps maintain Prime eligibility and reduces the risk of inventory delays during periods of exceptionally high demand.
Warehouse capacity expected to tighten
Amazon also cautioned that fulfilment centres will prioritise inbound shipments during September and October before shifting their focus to processing customer orders in November and December.
As a result, inbound delivery appointments may become limited during the busiest weeks.
Sellers expecting higher sales volumes are encouraged to use Capacity Manager to secure additional warehouse capacity in advance.
Useful planning tools available
To help sellers estimate costs and prepare inventory, Amazon recommends using:
i) Revenue Calculator to compare fulfilment costs in real time.
ii) FBA Fee Preview Report to estimate festive peak charges before they take effect.
iii) Capacity Manager for requesting additional storage capacity during high-demand periods.
Why this matters
The Seller Central announcement provides sellers with several months to prepare for one of the year's most important selling periods. Businesses that replenish inventory early, secure warehouse capacity, maintain healthy product ratings and submit deals before the discount deadlines can potentially reduce operating costs while maximising visibility during Prime Big Deal Days and Black Friday Week.
For sellers operating across Amazon Europe, careful planning during the coming months could help avoid stock shortages, minimise unexpected fulfilment costs and improve overall sales performance throughout the festive shopping season.
By following the timelines outlined in the Seller Central update and making full use of Amazon's planning tools, sellers can enter Q4 2026 with greater confidence and a stronger competitive position during the busiest retail season of the year.
