Amazon has announced a new policy on Seller Central that is expected to benefit U.S. sellers who use Remote Fulfillment with FBA. Beginning March 25, 2025, Amazon will credit sellers for return fees charged on items sold through Remote Fulfillment with FBA in the Mexico and Brazil stores. This update ensures that sellers will pay the same fulfillment fees for returns as they do in the United States, making international selling more accessible and cost-effective.

Key Date and Schedule:
• Effective Date: March 25, 2025
• Credits Issued: Within 30 days after the return
• Refund Details: Found in "Transaction view" under "Remote Fulfillment credit"

What is Remote Fulfillment with FBA?
Remote Fulfillment with FBA is a program that allows U.S.-based sellers to effortlessly extend their listings and ship orders to customers in Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. By leveraging their existing U.S. FBA inventory, sellers can bypass the need for separate fulfilment operations in each country. Orders are delivered through Prime shipping, ensuring a quick and reliable experience for international buyers. Customers are responsible for import duties and taxes, which means sellers face fewer obstacles when expanding into new markets.

How This New Update Helps Sellers
The recently announced return credits reduce the cost burden on returns that originate from orders in the Mexico and Brazil stores. Previously, sellers had to pay different rates for items returned through Remote Fulfillment with FBA. Now, with the new credits, the fees will match what sellers pay for U.S. FBA returns. This simplifies accounting and ensures that international orders are just as profitable as domestic ones, helping sellers remain competitive in global marketplaces.

Where to Find Your Return Credits
Amazon will automatically issue these credits within 30 days after a return is initiated. Sellers can visit their Transaction view in Seller Central to review the credit details. Under the "Transaction type," look for "Refund,” and under “Transaction details," sellers should see "Remote Fulfillment credit." If you have questions or concerns about these credits, Amazon recommends referring to the Customer returns section on Seller Central for more information.

Amazon's new return credits for Remote Fulfillment with FBA mark a significant step in simplifying global selling.
