Cross-border Amazon sellers will have an opportunity to learn how Amazon Global Logistics can simplify the movement of inventory from manufacturing hubs to Amazon’s fulfillment network. A free live webinar scheduled for July 29, 2026, will provide a practical introduction to the service, including account setup, freight options and shipment management.

The webinar was highlighted on Seller Central as part of Amazon’s “Webinar Wednesday” educational series. The sessions are designed to help sellers use Amazon programs, tools, advertising services and third-party applications more effectively.

Webinar to include a live AGL demonstration
Titled “Live Demo: How to Get Started with Amazon Global Logistics,” the session is suitable for sellers at all experience levels. The webinar will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on July 29. For sellers in India, this corresponds to 10:30 p.m. IST on the same day, based on the daylight-saving time observed in the US during July. Registrants should check the time shown in their registration confirmation.

The session will explain how sellers can create and configure an Amazon Global Logistics account. It will also cover available ocean and air freight transportation options for moving inventory from China and Vietnam to Amazon fulfillment centers in the US, Europe and Japan.

Amazon will conclude the presentation with a live question-and-answer session. Sellers can use this opportunity to ask about onboarding, eligible shipping routes, required documents and shipment booking procedures.

Recording available to registered sellers
Sellers who cannot attend the live presentation may still find it useful to register. According to the Seller Central announcement, every registrant will receive the webinar recording and presentation by email. This allows sellers to review the instructions later or share the material with employees and logistics teams responsible for sourcing, freight and FBA inventory planning.

How Amazon Global Logistics works
Amazon Global Logistics, commonly known as AGL, is an end-to-end freight service for eligible Fulfillment by Amazon sellers. It supports the transportation of inventory from approved origins directly to Amazon fulfillment centers and, on eligible routes, Amazon Warehousing and Distribution facilities.

Depending on the shipping lane, sellers may be able to use Standard Ocean, Fast Ocean or air freight. Ocean shipments can include full-container-load and less-than-container-load options.

Amazon’s official AGL information states that the service can cover several stages of the journey, including:
1. Cargo pickup at the origin
2. Export declaration
3. Ocean or air transportation
4. Customs-clearance support
5. Delivery to an eligible Amazon facility
6. Online booking, payment and shipment tracking

Available services and transportation routes vary by origin, destination and marketplace. Sellers should therefore check current eligibility and obtain a complete quotation before confirming a shipment.

Potential benefits for Amazon sellers
The webinar could be particularly valuable for sellers that source products from China or Vietnam and send inventory to overseas Amazon marketplaces. AGL may reduce the number of logistics providers a seller needs to coordinate. Sellers can book eligible shipments and monitor their progress through Seller Central instead of managing every stage through separate systems.

Direct delivery into Amazon’s network may also help sellers plan replenishment more efficiently. Better visibility into shipping estimates can reduce the risk of sending inventory too late and running out of stock.

Less-than-container-load shipping can benefit sellers who do not have enough inventory to fill an entire container. Air freight, meanwhile, may be more suitable for high-value products, urgent replenishment or time-sensitive inventory. Ocean freight is generally more appropriate when cost control is more important than speed.

What sellers should prepare before attending
To obtain greater value from the session, sellers should prepare information about their existing supply chain, including:
1. The country and city from which inventory will be shipped
2. The destination Amazon marketplace
3. Expected shipment volume and frequency
4. Product dimensions, weight and carton count
5. Whether ocean or air freight is being considered
6. The identity of the importer of record
7. Current freight costs and typical delivery time

Amazon’s onboarding process may require sellers to establish a payment method, provide importer-of-record details and submit supporting documents. Completing the webinar does not automatically make every seller, product or shipping route eligible for AGL.

Sellers must also remain responsible for product compliance, customs information, duties, taxes, labeling and other applicable import requirements. They should compare the complete landed cost, rather than looking only at the basic freight rate.

A useful opportunity for cross-border planning
The July 29 webinar offers sellers a low-risk way to understand whether Amazon Global Logistics fits their sourcing and inventory strategy. The live demonstration should be especially useful for businesses evaluating their first international freight shipment or looking to reduce manual coordination across multiple logistics providers.

Registration also provides access to the recording and presentation, making the session useful even for sellers unable to attend live. Before booking through AGL, sellers should compare available routes, transit times, customs responsibilities and total costs with their present freight arrangements.

More information and registration are available through the webinar notice in Seller Central and the official Amazon Global Logistics program portal.
