Amazon extends FBA New Selection enrollment to March 31, 2027

Eligible US sellers get more time to access referral fee credits, storage savings and promotional support for new branded products

Sellers preparing to launch branded products on Amazon US now have more time to enroll in a program that can reduce their initial selling costs. The enrollment window for the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) New Selection Program 2026 has been extended to March 31, 2027.

The update, published on Seller Central under the title “Enroll in New Selection Program 2026 by March 31,” outlines benefits covering referral fees, storage, returns and product promotions. Despite the program’s 2026 name, the extended enrollment deadline falls in 2027.

Lower referral fees on early sales
Eligible products qualify for fee credits that effectively cap referral fees at 10% on the first 100 units sold and 5% on the next 100 units. If a seller’s existing referral fee rate is lower, that lower rate applies.

Amazon provides these savings through equivalent credits against major fee transactions, including referral and fulfillment fees. The benefit can give sellers more room in their launch budgets, but it should be treated as temporary support rather than a permanent reduction in selling costs.

Storage and returns benefits
The program offers free storage, customer returns processing and liquidation for the first 200 eligible units for 120 days. Low-inventory-level fees and the storage utilization surcharge are also waived for those units during the same period.

The storage benefit window begins when inventory first reaches an Amazon fulfillment center. Sellers should coordinate shipments with their launch plans to make better use of this period.

Credits for coupons and Vine
Eligible sellers can receive $50 in coupon variable fee credits and $75 in Vine enrollment fee credits. These credits must be used within the first 60 days of listing a buyable offer.

The Vine credit covers the middle enrollment tier, involving three to 10 units per parent ASIN. Amazon’s guidance says products must reach a fulfillment center and be enrolled in Vine within the applicable 60-day window.

Sellers planning to use these credits should prepare their inventory and promotional activity before making their offer buyable.

Which sellers and products qualify?
Amazon’s program terms require a Professional selling plan and FBA-enabled products. Sellers with an assigned Inventory Performance Index must have a maximum score of at least 300 over the preceding six months.

Eligible products must be branded, new-to-FBA parent ASINs. This means no seller has made an FBA shipment for that parent ASIN in the previous 12 months.

Both standard-size and non-standard-size products can qualify. Used products and certain categories are excluded, so sellers should check individual product eligibility before planning around the incentives.

Check enrollment and overlapping incentives
Sellers transferred from the previous program must accept the updated terms by March 31, 2027, to retain benefits for new ASINs afterward. Products that have already qualified will retain their benefits until their individual benefit windows expire.

The Seller Central announcement says the benefits cannot be combined with New Seller Incentives. Detailed program terms clarify that overlapping benefits are applied through New Seller Incentives first. Benefits unique to New Selection can remain available.

Sellers can check their enrollment status, available discounts and credits in the seller incentive dashboard.

Making the most of the extension
For sellers expanding their branded selection, the extension offers additional time to prepare launches and reduce early costs. The priority is to confirm enrollment, verify product eligibility and plan around the separate 60-day and 120-day benefit windows.

Sellers should also calculate profitability using regular fees after the incentives expire. This will help them use the program to support a sustainable launch rather than rely on temporary savings alone.
